This lovely 1979 Mini 1000 in orignal Russet Brown with beige cloth interior is about as original as they come.
Boasting a large history file - including the original sales receipt from Kennings Ltd. of Derby and service receipts and MOT paperwork ever since - it's clear that this car has been well looked after.
We can find no record of signifcant restoration work leading us to conclude that the paintwork and interior are still the originals....and they still look great. Moreover, based on the car's documentation and DVLA records we believe the stated 21,575 miles to be genuine...that's an average of just 500 miles a year since new!
There's no sign of rust in any of the usual places and the underside of the car is in good shape. It appears as though grease points have been regulalry attended which may explain why the drive is really comfortable with no knocks or thumping from underneath.
The 998 motor is as good an original as we've come across: starts on the button, no rattles and ticks quietly and smoothly. The automatic transmission is, similalry, unnervingly quiet!
Last serviced in September 2020 and with a set of new tyres and refurbed spare, this car represents a very fine example of a classic British motor car that will be sold with a new MOT so as to be driven away and enjoyed!
