With only 7 of these cars believed to be remaining we have the privilege of presenting for sale this wonderful example of the rare Mulliner bodied two-seat Austin 12hp.

Acquired for £50 in 1968 by the most recent owner (who is only the third keeper since new) the car was subject to a period of careful and loving renovations over a number of years with the emphasis on retaining originality in all major respects. Once back on the road, this beautiful motor car has been in regular use and carefully maintained up to the present day including its most recent service by a specialist in August 2023 which included fitment of a new magneto, carburettor overhaul and a new fan belt.

The car is smartly presented in maroon with deep red leather upholstery and has full weather equipment in excellent condition including hood and sidescreens. Instrumentation and running equipment are correct and period even down to the original clock that swings out of the dashboard to be wound-up. It starts first time of asking and runs and drives exactly as it should.

The car comes with a large history file including photographs detailing the restoration work in the 1970s and ‘80s, the original RF60A registration book, old tax discs and MOT certificates and many receipts for parts and spares. The current owner has also personally written a ‘tips-and-tricks’ guide detailing, amongst others, the best way to raise and lower the hood, how to access the under-floor battery and how to interpret the fuel gauge which measures the number of inches in the tank!
