A lovely example of Fiat’s utilitarian peoples’ car, this Panda 1000 CLX is as original as the day it first hit the road. It’s been with the same owner since that first day and has covered only 22,000 miles. The car has been meticulously looked after with service records detailing works from 1993 to 2021.

Bodywork is very solid and, save for a few small dings, the paintwork is in good condition. The plastic bumpers show no cracks or scuffing. Inside is completely unmolested with original seats, trim and fittings showing good use but no damage and all in full working order (although the headlining could do with a good clean). For full authenticity, the car even comes with the original promotional Panda soft toy!

Steering is light and as responsive as expected, brakes are good and drives with no knocks or other assorted noises that so often accompany these cars. The 999cc FIRE motor starts on the button and runs smoothly through the range. No issues are apparent with the 5-speed transmission. Whilst basic, the electrics are all operative and no dash warning lights showing.

For a very usable modern classic with full history and potential for further improvement you’ll not find better. MOT’d and ready to drive away.
