A very original and increasingly rare manual MX-6 2.5i. Just clocked 103,000 miles, mainly in the hands of the second of only two owners who purchased the car in July 1999 at 23,000 miles. Well looked after ever since with a document file showing many thousands of pounds spent over the years on parts and servicing. Sadly, the owner was taken into ill health in 2019 and the car has been dry stored since failing its MOT that same year.
Presented in Silver Stone Metallic, the car looks good both outside and in. The paintwork is excellent for the age with just a few scuffs and dings commensurate with its age. It will require some light repairs to the chassis and, possibly, the top of the right-hand side front suspension turret (as noted in the last MOT). But otherwise the car appears sound…we have it starting on the button and driving without issue on our private road with no apparent drama from either the engine or manual transmission. The history records show timing / cam-belt change at 54,000 miles.
The mid-grey leather interior is in excellent condition with the exception of the driver’s seat base where the leather is starting to crack. But otherwise all is good and all switches, gauges etc. appear in working order and no dashboard lights are illuminated.
This super MX-6 coupe can be easily brought back to its best with a little TLC and effort. Priced to sell and comes complete with two sets of keys, the original owners handbook and various other documents.
